LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF SPECIAL REFERENDUM -NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that pursuant to the resolution duly adopted by the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Barnard Fire District, in the Town of Greece, Monroe County, New York, on April 30, 2026, a Special Referendum of the qualified voters of said Fire District will be held at the Barnard Fire District, 3084 Dewey Avenue, Rochester, New York, on May 18, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. and the polls to remain open until 9:00 o'clock p.m. for the purpose of voting on the following proposition.Proposition #1Shall the following Resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Barnard Fire District, entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE BARNARD FIRE DISTRICT TO SELL 2017 SPARTAN FIRE ENGINE, adopted April 30, 2026, and authorizing and empowering the Board of Fire Commissioners to carry out the sale of one (1) 2017 Spartan Fire Engine, valued at more than one hundred thousand ($100,000) dollars, with the actual price of sale to be determined by the market, be approved? Such Proposition shall appear on the ballot labels at said Special Referendum in substantially the following form:Proposition #1Yes No Shall the following Resolution of the Board of Fire Commissioners of the Barnard Fire District, entitled, RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS OF THE BARNARD FIRE DISTRICT TO SELL 2017 SPARTAN FIRE ENGINE, adopted April 30, 2026, and authorizing and empowering the Board of Fire Commissioners to carry out the sale of one (1) 2017 Spartan Fire Engine, valued at more than one hundred thousand ($100,000) dollars, with the actual price of sale to be determined by the market, be approved? The voting will be conducted by paper ballots as provided by law and the polls will remain open from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. to enable the voters then present to cast their ballots. NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN every elector of the Town who shall be a registered voter and who shall have resided in the Fire District for the period of 30 days prior to such Special Referendum shall be eligible to vote.
