NOTICE OF HEARING BEFORE MONROE COUNTY LEGISLATURE -PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that a public hearing will be held by the County Legislature of the County of Monroe on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6:15 P.M., in the County Legislative Chambers at the County Office Building, Rochester, New York, relating to the proposed Monroe County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Plan Update, which provides a framework to guide and support the agricultural industry within the County. Copies of the proposed of the Monroe County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Plan Update are available for examination in the office of the Clerk of the County Legislature. Building upon the previous plan adopted in 1999, the Monroe County Agricultural and Farmland Protection Plan Update reflects current conditions, trends, and challenges facing agriculture, including ongoing development pressures, evolving land use patterns, and changes impacting the agricultural sector. The Plan is intended to strengthen the County's ability to support farmland protection and agricultural viability, while complementing the County's existing comprehensive and climate action plans.
