NOTICE OF HEARING BEFORE COUNTY EXECUTIVE -PLEASE TAKE NOTICE, that pursuant to Section 20 of the Municipal Home Rule Law of the State of New York, a public hearing will be held by the County Executive of the County of Monroe on August 28, 2026 at 9:30 A.M. in the County Legislative Chambers in the County Office Building, Rochester, New York, on a proposed local law (Intro. No. 283 of 2026), entitled "AMENDING CHAPTER 357 OF THE MONROE COUNTY CODE TO PROVIDE A TAX EXEMPTION FOR SURVIVING SPOUSES OF POLICE OFFICERS KILLED IN THE LINE OF DUTY." Copies of this proposed local law are available for examination in the office of the County Executive of the County of Monroe and on https://www.monroecounty.gov/. This Local Law would establish a fifty percent tax exemption on real property constituting the primary residence of a surviving spouse of a police officer killed in the line of duty.ADAM J.
