LEGAL NOTICE TOWN OF GATES -NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that I, Sarah L. Lobene, Receiver of Taxes for the Town of Gates, New York, having received the Tax Roll and Warrant for Receiving 2026-2027 School Taxes, will collect same for Gates-Chili School District No. 1 and the Spencerport School District No. 1 at the Town Clerk's / Tax Receiver's Office located at 1605 Buffalo Road, Gates, New York from 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., Monday through Friday and also on Thursday, October 1, 2026 from 8:00 A.M to 7:00 P.M. No payments will be received on Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays. If due date falls on a weekend or holiday, payments will be accepted on the next business day. School taxes may be paid before and on October 1, 2026 without penalty. An additional 2 percent is added after October 1, 2026. After October 31, 2026, all unpaid taxes will be returned to the Monroe County Treasurer. Installment payment is allowed under Monroe County Local Law #175. First payment is to be made to Sarah L. Lobene, Receiver of Taxes by or on September 15, 2026. Subsequent payments are to be made to Monroe County Treasurer. Complete instructions are given on the tax bill.
