LEGAL NOTICE
NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF RESOLUTIONS SUBJECT TO PERMISSIVE REFERENDUM
-NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Perinton, Monroe County, New York, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 9th day of September 2026, duly adopted three (3) resolutions, which are subject to a permissive referendum pursuant to the Town Law and General Municipal Law of the State of New York, abstracts of which are as follows:
ABSTRACT 1: AUTHORIZATION FOR PARKS REMOTE ACCESS PROJECT AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS
The Town Board has authorized the Parks Department to transition to an automated access control system (2N System) at park buildings to improve security, operational efficiency, and access management. The Town Board further authorized the transfer of an amount not to exceed $10,000 from the Parks Improvement Fund (70) to the Parks Equipment and Capital Outlay account (03-7110-0200) to finance the project.
ABSTRACT 2: AUTHORIZATION FOR WHITNEY ROAD SIDEWALK CAPITAL PROJECT AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS
The Town Board has authorized the creation of Capital Project 48 for the Whitney Road Sidewalk Project to replace approximately 2,200 linear feet of existing asphalt sidewalk with contiguous ADA-compliant sidewalk from #430 Whitney Road West to Francis Drive, including a pedestrian sidewalk bridge over Thomas Creek, and authorized future contract amendments with MRB Group not to exceed $81,000 for construction phase engineering and inspection services. The Town Board further authorized a project budget of $880,500 and the transfer of an amount not to exceed $880,500 from the Sidewalk Reserve (59) to finance additional engineering, construction, and contingency for the project.
ABSTRACT 3: AUTHORIZATION FOR TURK HILL ROAD SIDEWALK CAPITAL PROJECT AND TRANSFER OF FUNDS
The Town Board has authorized the creation of Capital Project 44 for the Turk Hill Road Sidewalk Project to construct approximately 4,600 linear feet of sidewalk from Summit Street in the Village of Fairport to the Perinton Community Center/Town Hall, including a pedestrian sidewalk bridge over a tributary to Thomas Creek, with a total project budget of $1,300,000 supported in part by $307,000 in Monroe County reimbursement funding and $105,810 in operating funds, and authorized future contract amendments with MRB Group not to exceed $129,190 for construction phase engineering and inspection services. The Town Board further authorized the transfer of an amount not to exceed $887,190 from the Sidewalk Reserve (59) to finance construction and project contingency.
PERIOD FOR FILING PETITION
Pursuant to Article 7 of the Town Law, each of these resolutions is subject to a permissive referendum. A petition requesting that any such resolution be submitted to the qualified electors of the Town for their approval must be filed with the Town Clerk within thirty (30) days after the adoption of said resolution.
