TOWN OF GREECE DEPARTMENT OF PLANNING AND ECONOMIC DEVELOPOMENT 2025 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM (CDBG) PROPOSED AMENDMENT AND REALLOCATION OF FUNDS -The Town of Greece receives Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to support eligible community development activities that principally benefit low- and moderate-income residents. The Town of Greece received $540,551 from HUD for Program Year 2025. Of this funding, $129,086 was allocated to the Department of Public Works Road Program for public infrastructure improvements. The Town of Greece is now proposing an amendment to its previously approved 2025 CDBG Annual Action Plan to reallocate the $129,086 from the Department of Public Works Road Program to the Greece Residential Improvement Program (GRIP). Public Meeting The proposed amendment will be discussed at a public meeting on: Thursday, October 15, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. Eastman Room, Greece Town Hall One Vince Tofany Boulevard Greece, New York 14612 Proposed Amendment and Reallocation of Funds The following amendment to the 2025 Annual Action Plan is proposed: 2025 Department of Public Works Road Program · Reduce the existing allocation by $129,086 Greece Residential Improvement Program (GRIP) · Allocate an additional $129,086 to GRIP. · The additional funding will be used to provide eligible housing rehabilitation assistance to qualifying low- and moderate-income homeowners. · All households receiving assistance and all rehabilitation work funded through the program must meet applicable CDBG and GRIP eligibility requirements. The proposed amendment does not increase the Town's overall Program Year 2025 CDBG funding. It reallocates existing CDBG funds from the Department of Public Works Road Program to the Greece Residential Improvement Program.
