TOWN OF PERINTON LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARINGS -PROPOSED TEMPORARY MORATORIA ON LARGE-SCALE RESIDENTIAL DEVELOPMENT NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Perinton, Monroe County, New York, will meet at the Perinton Town Hall, 1350 Turk Hill Road, Fairport, New York, on October 5, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the matters may be heard, for the purpose of conducting Public Hearings to consider three (3) proposed Local Laws establishing temporary moratoria on certain permits and approvals for large-scale residential development within specific planning districts of the Town of Perinton, as follows: 1. BUSHNELL'S BASIN SUBAREA PLANNING DISTRICT MORATORIUM: A proposed Local Law establishing a temporary six-month moratorium on the acceptance, processing, or granting of permits, special use permits, site plan approvals, subdivision approvals, or zoning approvals for large-scale residential development projects involving five (5) or more dwelling units within the Bushnell's Basin Subarea Planning District, pending the review and update of the Town Comprehensive Plan and zoning regulations. 2. HAMLET OF EGYPT SUBAREA PLANNING DISTRICT MORATORIUM: A proposed Local Law establishing a temporary six-month moratorium on the acceptance, processing, or granting of permits, special use permits, site plan approvals, subdivision approvals, or zoning approvals for large-scale residential development projects involving five (5) or more dwelling units within the Hamlet of Egypt Subarea Planning District, pending the review and update of the Town Comprehensive Plan and zoning regulations. 3. ERIE CANAL CONSERVATION OVERLAY (ECCO) DISTRICT MORATORIUM: A proposed Local Law establishing a temporary six-month moratorium on the acceptance, processing, or granting of permits, special use permits, site plan approvals, subdivision approvals, or zoning approvals for large-scale residential development projects involving five (5) or more dwelling units within the Erie Canal Conservation Overlay (ECCO) District, pending the review and update of the Town Comprehensive Plan and zoning regulations. Each proposed local law includes procedures for property owners to apply for hardship variance relief before the Town Board, defines penalties for non-compliance, and determines the adoption of the moratorium to be a Type II action under the State Environmental Quality Review Act (SEQRA). Copies of the proposed local laws and district boundary descriptions are on file in the Town Clerk's Office and are available for public inspection during regular business hours.
