NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF THE
PITTSFORD CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT,
MONROE COUNTY, NEW YORK
-TO THE QUALIFIED VOTERS OF PITTSFORD CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT, MONROE COUNTY, NEW YORK:
PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Board of Education of the Pittsford Central School District, Monroe County, New York (the "District"), has scheduled a special meeting of the qualified voters of said District to be held in the Calkins Road Middle School Gymnasium, 1899 Calkins Road, Pittsford, New York 14534, on March 5, 2026 with polls to be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. for the purpose of voting upon the following propositions:PROPOSITION NO. 1 - CAPITAL PROJECTSHALL the Board of Education (the "Board") of the Pittsford Central School District (the "District") be hereby authorized to undertake a capital improvement project consisting of (i) the construction of alterations, renovations, improvements and additions to the District's school buildings and associated facilities; (ii) related site improvements for various school purposes; (iii) the acquisition and installation in and around the foregoing improvements of original furnishings, equipment, machinery, and apparatus; and (iv) all appurtenant, related and incidental improvements, and other costs and services incidental to the foregoing (the "Capital Project"); all at a total estimated maximum cost not to exceed $48,700,000, with such cost being raised by the expenditure of $6,500,000 from the District's 2021 Capital Reserve Fund (said fund being established pursuant to a proposition approved by the qualified voters of the District on May 18, 2021), and with the balance thereof, not to exceed $42,200,000, being raised by a tax upon the taxable property of said District to be levied and collected in annual installments in such amounts and in such years as may be determined by the Board as provided in Section 416 of the Education Law, with such tax to be partially offset by State aid available therefore, and in anticipation of such tax, by obligations of said District as may be necessary.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that applications for absentee ballots for voting on the above-referenced proposition may be applied for at the office of the District Clerk, 75 Barker Road, Pittsford, New York 14534. Any such application must be received by the District Clerk at least seven (7) days before the date of the vote on the above-referenced proposition, if the ballot is to be mailed to the voter, or the day before such vote, if the ballot is to be picked up personally by the voter. A list of all persons to whom absentee ballots shall have been issued will be available for public inspection during regular business hours in the office of the District Clerk on each of the five (5) days prior to the day of the election except Sunday. Absentee ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk not later than 5:00 p.m. on March 5, 2026.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that applications for early mail ballots for voting on the above-referenced proposition may be applied for at the office of the District Clerk, 75 Barker Road, Pittsford, New York 14534. Applications must be received at least seven (7) days prior to the election if the early mail ballot is to be mailed to the voter (February 26, 2026) or the day before the election (March 4, 2026), if the ballot is to be issued in person to the voter. A list of all persons to whom early ballots shall have been issued will be available for public inspection during regular business hours in the office of the District Clerk on each of the five (5) days prior to the day of the election except Sunday during regular office hours until the day of the election. Early ballots must be received in the office of the District Clerk not later than 5:00 p.m. local time on March 5, 2026; and
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that military voters who are defined by Commissioner's Regulation Part 11, who are qualified voters as of the District may apply for a military ballot during normal business hours or by requesting an application from the Office of the District Clerk, 75 Barker Road, Pittsford, New York 14534. In a request for a military ballot application/military ballot, the military voter may indicate their preference for receiving the application/military ballot by mail, facsimile transmission or electronic mail. Ballots for military voters shall be mailed, or otherwise distributed, no later than twenty-five (25) days prior to the date of the vote. As such, all completed military ballots must be received in the Office of the District Clerk no later than 5:00 p.m. local time on March 5, 2026.
