Emergency Freezer Project

LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE TO BIDDERS -The Board of Education of Brockport Central School District (in accordance with Section 103 of Article 5A of the General Municipal Law) hereby invites the submission of sealed bids for: The BROCKPORT CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT (BCSD) invites bids for the Emergency Freezer Project for the following contracts: 1. Contract No. 201: General Construction The project will consist of the construction of a new large commodities freezer at the Brockport High School including site and MEP work. This work will take place at the following buildings: 1. High School Separate sealed bids for the above Contracts can be mailed to BROCKPORT CENTRAL SCHOOL DISTRICT (BCSD) Business Office, 40 Allen Street, Brockport, NY 14420 and need to arrive by 11:00 A.M., local time on Friday July 31st, 2026. The bids will then be publicly opened and read aloud at the District Board Room in the BCSD District Administrative Building at 40 Allen Street, Building 100, Brockport, NY 14420. Bids received elsewhere in the District will be considered not received. Contract # and Project Name should be noted on the outside of envelope. Checks shall be made payable to Brockport Central School District. Bid documents, if requested, will be mailed to Bidders upon receipt of deposit and reimbursement for the cost of mailing. Mailing fee for one set is $35.00 for UPS delivery. Check shall be payable to Brockport Central School District. Bid Documents may also be examined at the following locations: 1. F.W. Dodge Reports Website 2. Rochester Builders Exchange 180 Linden Ave, Suite 100 Rochester, NY Plan Holders List will ONLY be available at Dodge Reports and Builders Exchange of Rochester. Subcontractors interested in obtaining Plan Holders List shall contact the Dodge Reports directly. All questions in regard to the meaning of the plans, specifications, or other contract documents will not be made verbally. All requests for such information should be made in writing on the provided RFI Coversheet, addressed to LaBella Associates, 300 State St. #201, Rochester N.Y. 14614, Attn: Samantha Keene. SKeene@LaBellaPC.com. *Note: All questions must be received no later than 5:00 PM on Friday July 24th, 2026. Responses will be distributed to all registered plan holders in the form of addendum. A pre-bid walk-through for the Project will be held on Wednesday, July 21st, 2026 at 2:00 P.M. at the High School Cafeteria at 40 Allen Street, Building 700 Brockport, New York, 14420. The meeting will review the project scope and procedures and will be followed by a tour to all project locations. Supplemental Bid Information Attention of the Bidder is particularly called to the Owner's sales tax exemption, the requirements as to conditions of employment to be observed and the minimum wage rates to be paid under the contract. In addition, the Bidding Documents for this project contain detailed requirements for the qualification of Bidders. These include, among other things, rigid bonding and insurance requirements, financial statements, bank references, lists of lawsuits, arbitrations, or other proceedings in which the Bidder has been named as a party, a statement of surety's intent to issue Performance and Payment Bonds, and a description of other projects of similar size and scope completed by the Bidder. Bids shall be prepared as set forth in "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS", enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing on its face the name and address of the Bidder and the title of the Work to which the bid enclosed relates. Each Bidder shall deposit with its bid, security in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid in the form and subject to the conditions provided in the "INSTRUCTIONS TO BIDDERS." No Bidder may withdraw his bid within forty-five (45) days after the actual bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to waive any and all informalities in or to reject any or all bids.
