Payments postmarked after the due date will be assessed interest. · If due date falls on a weekend or holiday, payment is accepted the next business day. · Online bank account payment is not recommended. These payments arrive without a postmark and cannot count as received until arrival in the tax office. This will result in additional interest if not received by the due date. · You may pay online by credit card at www.monroecounty.gov. An additional service fee totaling 2.75% of amount to be paid will be added by the credit card processor. Any payment less than $100 will be charged $2.75. · Electronic check payments can be made at www.monroecounty.gov and are assessed a sliding scale fee based on the payment amount.
