Advertisement for Bids -September 1, 2026 George Eastman Museum: Restoration of Historic Garden Structures Rehabilitation of Loggia and West Garden 900 East Avenue Rochester, New York NOTICE OF SOLICITATION OF GENERAL CONTRACTORS FOR GEORGE EASTMAN MUSEUM: RESTORATION OF HISTORIC GARDEN STRUCTURES Rehabilitation of Loggia and West Garden 900 EAST AVENUE, ROCHESTER, NY for the GEORGE EASTMAN MUSEUM 900 EAST AVENUE, ROCHESTER, NEW YORKSealed bids for the George Eastman Museum: Restoration of Historic Garden Structures Project - Rehabilitation of Loggia and West Garden will be received until 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026 at the Security Desk of the George Eastman Museum (Attn: Grif Stappenbeck, Senior Director, Facilities). The bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Council Room of the George Eastman Museum at 1:15 p.m. on Friday, September 25, 2026. Please meet at the front desk of the Thomas Tischer Visitor Center. Each bid must be prepared and submitted in accordance with the Bidding and Contract Documents and must be accompanied by references of similar projects and a bid security in the form of a Certified Check, Bid Bond, or Bank Check in the amount of (10%) ten percent of the bid amount. Work must be performed by contractors with no less than five years' successful experience in completion of similar projects for state, national, or locally registered landmarks. Contractors must submit a list of completed projects, including name, address, owner, and consultant . (Similar projects to be listed on the Bid Form). The completion date for this project is May 28, 2027. This project is funded in part by a grant from the NYS Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation through Title 9 of the Environmental Protection Act of 1993. Under Article 15A, Executive Law, the State of New York is committed to providing Minority and Women Owned Business (MWBE) equal opportunity to participate in government contracts. Though there are no required goals for MWBE participation in this grant funded project, the successful bidder will be required to make a Good Faith Effort in the utilization of MWBE's and furnish reports showing the participation of various business enterprises of subcontractors and suppliers on the contract. · Effective Tuesday, September 1, 2026, paper and electronic versions of the Bidding Documents will be distributed by: Rotolite-Elliott, One Grove St, Suite 123, Pittsford, NY 14534. · Digital copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained upon a non-refundable payment of $59 per set of bid documents through Rotolite-Elliott Corporation's Online Plan Room: https://www.recplanroom.com/. · Paper copies of the Bidding Documents may be obtained with a bid deposit by certified check of $100 per set of bid documents. Deposit checks are to be payable to Bero Architecture PLLC. Cash or personal checks will not be accepted as a form of deposit. · Bidders requiring Bidding Documents by mail should include an additional $35 check for postage and handling (postage and handling will not be refunded). · Each bid deposit will be refunded to bidders that submit a complete bid if the Bidding Documents are returned to the Architect intact, clean, and unaltered within 10 days of the bid opening. · Bidding Documents will also be available for free public viewing at the following location: Builders Exchange of Rochester. Attendance is required at the pre-bid conference at the site.
