TOWN OF PERINTON LEGAL NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING -NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Town Board of the Town of Perinton, Monroe County, New York, will meet at the Perinton Town Hall, 1350 Turk Hill Road, Fairport, New York, on September 21, 2026, at 7:00 P.M. or as soon thereafter as the matter may be heard, for the purpose of holding a Public Hearing to consider a proposed Local Law to Amend the Code of the Town of Perinton Regarding the Terms of Members of the Conservation Board, Board of Ethics, Recreation and Parks Advisory Board, Sustainability Advisory Board, and Planning Board. The proposed local law amends Town Code Sections 16-5(A), 20-7, 51-3(A), and 61-4(A) to establish three-year terms of office for members serving on the Conservation Board, Board of Ethics, Recreation and Parks Advisory Board, and Sustainability Advisory Board, and amends Town Code Section 208-60(A) to establish five-year terms of office for members serving on the Planning Board. The local law is adopted pursuant to the New York State Municipal Home Rule Law to supersede inconsistent provisions of the New York State Town Law and General Municipal Law to establish consistency in board appointments and governance. A complete copy of the proposed local law is on file in the Town Clerk's Office and is available for public inspection during regular business hours.
